中国学科发展战略·地球生物学

本书不仅涉及生命的演化,特别是动物的演化,还更多地分析了与生命演化相伴的地质环境条件,包括地球环境和太空环境,物理环境和化学环境;不仅阐述了不同地质环境对生命的影响,也从不同侧面涉及生物对环境的作用,特别是微生物通过元素的生物地球化学循环、矿物岩石的形成和分解等途径对地质环境所起的重要作用;不仅涉及当前国际研究前沿及其进展,也有未来突破方向的分析。全书共分为八章。第一章主要阐述了地球生物学的定义、学科地位与国内外发展现状,特别是对地球生物学的研究内容、重大科学问题及近几年的进展进行了分析。第二到七章主要对当前的重点前沿研究领域进行总结,并指出了每个领域未来的突破方向。第二章是关于地球早期的地球生物学研究,涉及宜居行星的形成、地球生命起源,以及前寒武纪大气成氧、海洋水化学与微生物演化之间的关系。第三章主要总结了新元古代以来动物的起源、演化及其环境背景,特别是显生宙几次生物大灭绝事件及其可能的环境致因。第四章从生物地球化学角度分析微生物功能群对环境变化的响应和反馈。第五章从微生物与矿物、岩石之间的相互作用来分析微生物的地质作用。
