3.1 Cooperative Outcomes
(1) On the basis of the discussion, the experts are preparing a government advisory report on climate change and marine carbon sequestration and chapter V of the sixth assessment report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), 'Special Report on Climate Change and Oceans and the Cryosphere', on marine carbon sequestration.

(2) The representative of the Intergovernmental Oceanic Commission of UNESCO invites the Chairman of Yanqi Lake Meeting to lead the establishment of the international Working Group on Marine Carbon Sequestration, and to provide financial support.

(3) The results of Yanqi Lake Meeting were introduced at the following PICES annual meeting. After the high-level exchanges with ISME, the international peers have received further repercussions. Massachusetts Institute of Technology and other seven top American universities and ocean research institutes jointly created the excellent education brand C-more to be incorporated into the content of ocean carbon sinks and to establish a joint science-education integration talent training base in China. (in discussion)
