报告简介:
The present talk will discuss some new development and understanding of advanced high strength steels. Firstly, the physical metallurgy of a newly developed ultra-strong, ductile, tough, medium Mn steel will be discussed. This steel achieves a yield strength of 2 GPa, a uniform elongation of 16% and a fracture toughness of ~100 MPam. Secondly, the deformation and fracture behaviour of a new Room-temperature Quenching and Partitioning (RT-QP) steel will be discussed. In particular, the abnormal negative strain rate sensitive of RT-QP steel is highlighted. Thirdly, new understanding on the delayed fracture behaviour of 2 GPa-grade press-hardened steel (PHS) is discussed. Finally, the bendability of AlSi-coated PHS is discussed. It shows that the bending angle of AliSi coated 2 GPa-PHS can be increased to 60o by a new process of double austeninzation. In addition, we show that a thinner layer of brittle coating is beneficial in improving bendability of PHS.
